Every Catalog on Ripe is valued with the same discounted cash flow framework. Same model, same inputs, every catalog — for issuance and for redemption.
Verified royalty statements from distributors and collection societies, typically covering the trailing 12–36 months of catalog income.
Genre-specific, two-component decay modeling: newer releases decline faster, mature catalogs stabilize into a long-lived earnings base.
Older catalogs earn flatter projections and lower risk premiums. Age is a direct input to both the decay profile and the discount rate.
A CAPM-based rate reflecting the risk of music royalty cash flows, reviewed periodically against market benchmarks.
We collect and verify historical royalty income from distributor and collection society statements.
Future royalty income is projected by applying genre-specific decay curves to the catalog's verified earnings base.
Projected cash flows are discounted to present value at the catalog's discount rate.
Catalog value divided by Tokens issued equals the Token price. The same valuation drives issuance pricing and redemption pricing.

If total redemption requests exceed 5% of a Catalog's issued Tokens within 7 days, requests are processed in the order received. You can cancel a queued request at any time before execution.
Instant settlement depends on available platform liquidity. If it is unavailable, we tell you before execution and you can pick another speed.
In extraordinary circumstances — market disruption, smart contract vulnerability, regulatory action — redemptions may be temporarily suspended. If that happens, we disclose the reason and expected duration here and in-app.
